Services & Credentials

Resolving disputes with clarity, structure and real-world insight.

I work with individuals, businesses and organisations to find practical solutions to conflict. With training from Phoenix Dispute Solutions and accreditation from both the IMI and CMC, I bring nearly a decade of commercial experience together with focused legal knowledge to help you move forward.

My mediation practice covers three core areas: civil and commercial disputes, workplace conflict, and SEND matters.

01 / Practice area

Civil & Commercial Mediation

What it covers

Civil and commercial mediation helps resolve disputes between businesses, between individuals, or between businesses and individuals — conflicts where money, contracts, property or professional relationships are at stake.

I know how isolating business disputes can feel. You’re dealing with financial pressure, fractured relationships, and the uncertainty of litigation looming in the background. Mediation offers a different path: one that’s faster, more cost-effective, and keeps decision-making in your hands rather than leaving it to a judge.

Types of disputes I handle

  • Contract disagreements (breach, interpretation, performance issues)
  • Partnership and shareholder conflicts
  • Debt recovery and payment disputes
  • Property and boundary disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Supply chain and vendor disagreements
  • Intellectual property conflicts
  • Insurance claims

Why choose mediation for commercial disputes

Business disputes rarely benefit from courtroom confrontation. I’ve seen firsthand how litigation drains time, money and energy — even when you ‘win’, you’ve spent months or years focused on the conflict instead of your actual work.

Mediation is confidential, flexible and significantly faster. It also allows for creative solutions that a court simply can’t order — payment plans, revised contracts, ongoing relationships, or negotiated exits. Most importantly, you stay in control of the outcome.

My experience & approach

Before training as a mediator, I spent nearly a decade in commercial contracts and client-facing roles, working at the intersection of business operations, negotiation and stakeholder management. I understand how disputes develop, what’s really at stake beneath the surface issues, and what it takes to move past them.

My legal training in commercial, business, employment, banking and finance law means I quickly grasp the structural, relational and legal dimensions of your dispute. I help you cut through complexity, clarify what truly matters, and stay focused on solutions that are realistic, fair and workable.

I don’t push you toward a settlement you’re uncomfortable with. My role is to create a structured, calm space where honest conversation becomes possible — where each side can be heard, where perspectives shift, and where practical options emerge naturally.

Workplace Mediation

What it covers

Workplace mediation helps resolve conflicts between colleagues, between employees and managers, or within teams where tension is affecting performance, wellbeing, or the working environment.

I understand how workplace conflict can feel overwhelming. It affects your confidence, your daily interactions, and sometimes your ability to do your job well. Whether you’re an employee navigating a difficult relationship or an organisation trying to restore a healthy team dynamic, mediation creates space for honest conversation and practical solutions.

Types of workplace disputes I handle

  • Interpersonal conflicts between colleagues or team members
  • Manager-employee relationship breakdowns
  • Bullying, harassment or discrimination allegations
  • Team dysfunction and communication breakdowns
  • Grievance situations
  • Performance management disputes
  • Reorganisation or redundancy tensions
  • Return-to-work conflicts
  • Cross-departmental friction

Benefits for organisations

Workplace conflict is expensive — not just financially, but in lost productivity, damaged morale, increased sick leave and potential talent loss. Mediation offers a faster, more constructive alternative to formal procedures.

It helps organisations to resolve issues before they escalate to formal grievances or tribunals; preserve valuable working relationships and team cohesion; create a culture where difficult conversations happen constructively; reduce stress and absence related to workplace tension; and demonstrate commitment to employee wellbeing and fair resolution.

Most importantly, mediation addresses the underlying issues — not just the surface symptoms. This means solutions tend to last.

My experience & approach

My background in commercial environments and client-facing roles means I’ve lived the reality of workplace dynamics — the pressure, the politics, the communication challenges, and what happens when relationships break down.

I bring a practical, grounded approach to workplace mediation. I understand organisational constraints, power dynamics, and how employment law intersects with everyday working relationships. My legal training in employment law helps me navigate sensitive situations while keeping discussions focused on what’s workable.

As a neurodivergent mediator, I’m particularly attuned to different communication styles, unspoken tensions, and the patterns that develop when people aren’t being heard. I create a calm, structured environment where each person feels genuinely listened to and where the path forward becomes clearer.

I work with individuals, small teams and larger organisations. Whether it’s a one-off conflict or part of a broader commitment to constructive workplace culture, I’ll help you move from tension to resolution.

03 / Practice area

SEND Mediation

What it covers

SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) mediation helps resolve disputes between families and local authorities about a child’s educational provision, support needs, or the contents of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

I know how emotionally charged these situations can be. You’re advocating for your child’s future while navigating complex systems, conflicting assessments and resource constraints. Mediation offers a space where your concerns are genuinely heard and where practical solutions can be explored collaboratively, rather than through adversarial legal processes.

Supporting families & local authorities

  • Disagreements about EHCP content or proposed provision
  • Disputes over school placement or educational setting
  • Concerns about the adequacy of support or resources
  • Transitions between educational phases or settings
  • Assessment outcomes and recommendations
  • Implementation of existing plans

A neurodiversity-aware approach

Mediation is voluntary and confidential. It doesn’t prevent you from pursuing a tribunal if mediation doesn’t resolve the issue, but it often provides a faster, less stressful route to workable solutions that meet your child’s needs.

As a neurodivergent mediator, I bring a different lens to SEND disputes. I naturally identify patterns, anticipate communication challenges, and adapt the process to fit the needs of each participant. I understand that advocacy can be exhausting, that systems can feel overwhelming, and that the stakes are deeply personal.

My priority is creating an environment where every voice can be understood, especially in emotionally charged, sensitive or SEND-related contexts. I help parents articulate what matters most for their child, and I help local authorities explain constraints and possibilities clearly. When everyone genuinely understands each other’s position, creative solutions become possible.

My experience & approach

I’ve worked across complex negotiations and stakeholder management situations where competing priorities, limited resources and strong emotions all needed careful navigation. I understand how to hold space for difficult conversations while keeping discussions solution-focused.

My legal training and mediation background mean I grasp the statutory framework, assessment processes, and what’s legally required — but I don’t lose sight of what really matters: your child’s wellbeing and educational future.

I work with empathy, structure and a commitment to helping families and local authorities find common ground. Whether you are a parent seeking appropriate provision or a local authority working within resource constraints, I’ll help create a calm, constructive space where workable agreements can emerge.

How real conflicts moved toward resolution.

🤝

The Business Partnership Deadlock

The conflict
Two co-directors of a London-based consultancy reached a stalemate over the future direction of the firm, halting all operations.
The resolution
Through a day of facilitated negotiation, we identified a ‘buy-out’ structure that allowed one partner to exit fairly while the other kept the business running.
Outcome
Litigation avoided; the business remained operational and solvent.
🏢

The Workplace Grievance

The conflict
A long-standing dispute between a senior manager and a team lead led to a formal grievance and high levels of staff stress.
The resolution
A facilitated conversation allowed both parties to voice unheard concerns and agree on a new communication ‘charter.’
Outcome
